Sunday School Classes
9:45 a.m. each Sunday
 

Beacon
Ages 55+
Room 102
Made up of couples and singles. This is a warm class studying the Adult Bible Series. Individuals are encouraged to come and take part in the discussion or just listen. Periodic social events are held at members' homes and all are welcome to take part in this special class.

 

Inquirer's
Ages 45+
Room 116
According to the first teacher of the Inquirer's class, the classes suggested purpose was to discover, through lesson and discussion, "What one believes." The class continues this tradition by offering a Bible study for 4-6 months out of the year and bringing in outside speakers chosen by members. This class is composed of both single and married adults.


 

  John-Mark
Ages 40+
Room 301
The John-Mark class is committed to in-depth Bible study and supporting each other and the church through prayer. Comprised of both single and married couples, most members have college-aged children.






 

Samuel
All ages
Room 305
This class is comprised of a variety of people, focusing on individual and family life targeted to both single and married adults. The class revolves around intense discussion and Bible study.

 

 

  Pathfinders
All ages
Parlor
The Pathfinders class is an extremely unique class formed as a special outreach to unchurched Viet Nam veterans and families, with non-veterans also attending. The Pathfinders class has been recognized by The United Methodist Church press as well as local newspapers and television.
 

 

Propheteers
Ages 60+
Room 101
This class is comprised of retired and semi-retired single and married adults who are extremely active within the church. Everyone is welcome to attend for study and fellowship.



 

  The Psalmists
Ages 30+
Room 113
This class was designed for Chancel Choir Members and others who needed to reach closure in their morning lesson in time to prepare for worship. Discussion orientated, the class chooses varied curriculum. Members may belong to this class and retain membership in another class for social purposes.

Ages 20 to 40

Young Adult Class.

 

  University
Ages 17 to 25
Room 312
This class is comprised of students from McMurry, Hardin-Simmons, and Abilene Christian Universities. The students gather each Sunday morning to discuss biblical and topical issues that challenge them.
