Lisa & Jim Barela
Church Responsibilities:
Lisa has been working at
St. Paul as the Pastor’s Secretary and Office Administrator since 1991. She
enjoys working with and for the members of St. Paul and is proud that St.
Paul is her church family.
Background:
Lisa Barela grew up moving
around the United States with her father being in the Air Force. He retired in
1978 making Abilene their home. Her parents, two brothers and sister still live
in Abilene, too. She graduated from Cooper High School in 1979 going through
the Vocational Office Education program. She has been working in the clerical
field since she was a Junior in high school.
Personal Information:
She married Jim Barela in
1981 and they have two children, Julia & Jacob. Lisa joined St. Paul as a
full member in 1987 and Julia & Jacob joined later when they went through
Confirmation at St. Paul.
