Called to Joplin

On May 22, a massive tornado left a 6 mile long and a half a mile wide path of devastation through the town of Joplin, MO. As of right now, 89 people are confirmed dead. More than 2,000 buildings were damaged, leaving a fourth of the town in ruins. The towns hospital was also destroyed, making it difficult to treat the injured.

St. Paul Youth is responding to the needs of Joplin, MO. We are going to help the area rebuild and recover after such a devastating storm. We will go from June 20-25. We will depart the 20th at 8AM and return the 25th and around 1PM.

Acts 6:4 says, “And we will give ourselves continually to prayer and to the ministry of the world.”

If you are able to help financially, any help would be appreciated. We are estimating a cost of $75 a person.  Please prayerfully consider sponsoring one of our youth or an adult sponsor.  We will be putting together a list of items needed so watch for this information. Please do not forget to pray for the town of Joplin.

Watching the news on Monday morning, I knew God was calling me to lead a group to assist in the recovery and relief efforts.  I am amazed at the speed at which God has worked getting the details of this trip together. I know God is calling St. Paul to this mission. Will you answer?
