Send a Prayer Request

We all experience challenges in life-times when we need support.  St. Paul UMC believes in the ministry of prayer as we are encouraged to pray for each other in the Spirit as exampled in Scripture by Christ and the early Church.  We are a community of faith that wants to share with you in your struggles and challenges, to journey alongside you in difficult times.

We invite you to submit your prayer requests on the website and the pastors and Care Team will hold you in prayer.  The Care Team meets every Wednesday morning to pray for prayer requests and abides by a confidentiality covenant.  “Do not worry or be anxious about anything, but in everything, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, make your request known to God.  And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus” (Phil.4:6-7).

The power of prayer

Prayer is opening oneself to the love and peace of God.  God longs for our presence and prayer. Through prayer, we are allowing God to hold us in the arms of love, to take delight in us, to weep with us.

“For this reason I bow my knees before the Father, from whom every family in heaven and on earth takes its name.  I pray that, according to the riches of his glory, he may grant that you may be strengthened in your inner being with power through his Spirit, and that Christ may dwell in your hearts through faith, as you are being rooted and grounded in love.  I pray that you may have the power to comprehend, with all the saints, what is the breadth and length and height and depth, and to know the love of Christ that surpasses knowledge, so that you may be filled with all the fullness of God”-Apostle Paul.
